The Latvian Consumer Rights Protection Law (PTAL) provides that a consumer — a natural person purchasing goods for purposes unrelated to their economic or professional activity — has the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving a reason.
DELTA IT (deltait.lv) operates exclusively in the B2B (business-to-business) segment — only legal entities and sole traders acting within their economic activity can place orders on the Site (see clause 1.2 of the Terms of use). Since such a buyer is not a "consumer" within the meaning of PTAL, the 14-day right of withdrawal provided by PTAL does not apply to DELTA IT transactions.
This does not mean goods can never be returned — it means returns do not happen automatically by law, but by mutual agreement. If the goods received are damaged, incomplete or do not match the order, please contact us within 5 working days of receipt — see clause 6 of the Terms of use regarding warranty and returns.
The manufacturer's or distributor's warranty still applies to the goods — it is unaffected regardless of whether the right of withdrawal applies.
If you are unsure whether consumer rights apply in a particular case (for example, if a sole trader places an order for private purposes), please contact us before placing the order: info@deltait.lv.
